Aim of the project
To improve the quality of students’ mobility experience through the means of Virtual Learning Environments and online technologies.
Objectives
- To share the current practise with the European project partners, as to mobility student support, particularly investigating how technology is being utilised to support students.
- To examine the factors that effect students on international placement or exchange.
- To examine the potential of the technology each project partner is currently using to support the students more effectively.
- To identify potential models and criteria for assessing students on work placement, and identifying how this could be carried out using Virtual Learning Environments.
- To apply and disseminate a current model that has been effectively evaluated and produce two best practise/case studies.
- To develop guidelines for effective support, using the technology, for international mobility students.
Results
- Generic needs analysis of mobility students.
- New methodology, utilising a Virtual Learning Environment, to support mobility students.
- Models, criteria and tools for effective assessment of performance within the workplace as part of the Virtual Learning Environment.
- Requirements for the Virtual Learning Environments or guidelines for adaptation of the Virtual Learning Environments for the purposes of student support.
- Guidelines for reorganization of educational processes in order to assure effective support of mobility students when using a Virtual Learning Environment.
- Disseminative knowledge transfer from project partners to their national higher education partners.
